What is Love?

Love has so many different meanings! Each individual as his/her definition of love based on their life experiences. However, I believe there are many definitions that are given to love that are simply false and misleading!

Such as:

– he/she beats me because he loves me

– he/she yell at me out of love

– he/she is being rude because thats how he/she shows love

– I’m selfish cuz I love myself

– ect.

I’m sure all of you can think of other Wrong definitions so I won’t add more. And Off course we are not here to judge people but we are also not here to get fooled by people on a sentiment so pure and noble such as LOVE. Deep inside Everybody knows how to feel “LOVE” even when they dont have the words to describe it. Me for exemple, the definition of love i go by is the one from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

This definition is very large and can embrace so many positive feelings. It can serves us as a guide to identify LOVE and it’s roots. And that’s all I love about it.

Because of this plurality of Love, for the next 30 days (jan 14- feb 14), I will be welcoming couple of guest writers who will write about love. They will freestyle on LOVE and we’ll get to peak in their mind and have a glimpse on their relationship with LOVE!
